Guided Snorkel Tour 10th August

August 10, Wednesday

14:00 - 16:00

What's Here

Snorkelling offers you a fantastic chance to get close to shy marine residents. Many people snorkel on holiday but have not considered doing it at home or what they can see on the South Coast of England. Whilst it is true, the water temperature is less than the Caribbean it is often 18 degrees plus in the summer months. With a thin wet suit you can have hours of fun!

What can you see? Plenty when you know where to look. Our water is green not blue and the marine residents are in often, but not always in muted colours. This can make them harder to spot that the flashes of yellow and blue along colour reefs. When you know where to look you can see blennies, gobies, prawns, crabs, pipefish, anemones, sponges, wrasse, bream, bass and more.

Mulberry Marine Experience's guided snorkel tours are designed to give you the confidence to snorkel safely and show you where to find the marine life. Led by SSI Snorkel Instructors they will take you through every step. Starting with a safety briefing and introduction you then then move into the water to explore shore sites including Selsey Lifeboat Station, East Beach and Aldwick.

You do not need previous experience, they ask that you are comfortable in the water and able to swim. Your Guide will take the time to make sure you are settled and practice buddy techniques in the shallows before you head off to explore. Great fun for the family, children are welcome. They must be over 8 and able to swim 25 metres unaided. All those under 14 must be accompanied by an adult in the water.

The cost is £55 per person includes the use of all the equipment that you need, (fins, and wet suit) and a mask and snorkel set that you can keep after the experience. Mulberry Marine Experience's encourage you to bring cameras so you can capture the memories and hope you do not mind if they do.

If you are a confident snorkeller or hold the Snorkel Diver certification there are options for guided and unguided tours from our RHIB, Mulberry Diver. We visit a number of the wreck and scenic sites like the Inner Mulberry, Far Mulberry and Hounds Reef. Check out the boat schedule on the Mulberry Marine Experiences website for more options.
